What is the best speaker for a boardroom in Lagos?
Risposta rapida
For a boardroom in Lagos, the best speaker is a discreet, high-intelligibility solution from SSOUNDS install range, such as CL6 or CL8 ceiling loudspeakers for even coverage, or LC8.2 or LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers for wall-mounted speech reinforcement. Selection depends on room size, ceiling height, and acoustic treatment, and SSOUNDS designs and installs across Lagos.
A boardroom demands premium speech and presentation audio that is heard clearly by every participant without visual intrusion. In-ceiling or in-wall loudspeakers are ideal for discreet integration, while slim column loudspeakers offer excellent speech intelligibility when wall mounting is preferred. SSOUNDS install range includes the P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers (T models run on a 70/100 V line), the LC8.2 and LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers, the CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers, M series point-source boxes and subwoofers, and A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante.
For a typical Lagos boardroom, start by assessing the room dimensions, ceiling height, and seating layout. Ceiling loudspeakers such as the CL6 or CL8 provide even coverage and are unobtrusive. If the ceiling is high or the room has reflective surfaces, column loudspeakers like the LC8.2 or LC16.2 can be mounted on the wall behind the display to direct sound at the listeners, improving intelligibility. For larger boardrooms or those requiring higher SPL, the P series or M series point-source boxes with subwoofers may be appropriate. The A series amplifiers with Dante allow networked audio and seamless integration with video conferencing systems.
Sizing and selection should be based on coverage angle, SPL requirements, and the acoustic environment. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modeling and coverage prediction to optimise the system before installation, ensuring every seat receives clear, natural speech. The goal is consistent coverage, not maximum volume. Hidden control via touch panels or control systems keeps the technology out of sight. SSOUNDS designs and installs boardroom audio systems across Lagos, with support from our offices in Nigeria and the UK.
When specifying a boardroom system, consider the need for video conferencing integration, which may require Dante-enabled amplifiers and DSP for echo cancellation and mixing. The SSOUNDS A series amplifiers provide networked audio and DSP, making them suitable for such installations. For premium speech, the CL series ceiling loudspeakers or LC series columns are often the best fit, but each project is unique.
