What is the best speaker for a conference room in Mombasa?

Conference rooms prioritise speech clarity from both table talk and video calls. Ceiling loudspeakers like the SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 provide even coverage with minimal visual impact, ideal for rooms with standard ceilings. For spaces with higher ceilings or where more direct sound is needed, the slim column loudspeakers (LC8.2, LC16.2) offer controlled vertical dispersion, keeping speech intelligible at distance. The P series (P4, P5, P6T, P10T, P12T) and M series point-source boxes are suited to larger conference rooms or divisible spaces where higher SPL and precise coverage are required.

Selection depends on room dimensions, ceiling height, and the number of seats. As a rule, ceiling loudspeakers are spaced to achieve overlapping coverage at ear level, typically every 3 to 4 metres for a 4 to 6 metre ceiling. Column loudspeakers are mounted on the wall behind or beside the display, angled down to cover the seating area. For rooms with video conferencing, integrate beamforming microphones and DSP with echo cancellation, such as the SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with Dante, to ensure seamless audio pickup and reproduction.

SSOUNDS designs and installs across Mombasa, providing local support from our African HQ in Abuja, Nigeria, and our UK and US operations. We work with system integrators, consultants and venue technical directors to specify the right solution for each space, ensuring reliable performance and intelligibility.
