What is the best speaker for a conference room in Nottingham?

Conference rooms demand clear speech from every seat, whether from a presenter at the table or a remote participant on a video call. The ideal solution is a distributed ceiling loudspeaker system, which provides even coverage and reduces the risk of feedback when combined with beamforming microphones. SSOUNDS offers the CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers, designed for speech intelligibility and easy integration with DSP and echo cancellation systems.

For rooms with higher ceilings or where ceiling installation is not possible, SSOUNDS slim column loudspeakers, such as the LC8.2 and LC16.2, offer controlled vertical dispersion to direct sound at the listeners and minimise reflections. These are particularly effective in spaces with glass walls or hard surfaces. For larger conference rooms or divisible spaces, SSOUNDS P series install loudspeakers (P4, P5, P6T, P10T, P12T) provide flexible mounting options, with T models supporting 70/100 V line operation for long cable runs.

Selection depends on room size, ceiling height, and acoustic treatment. As a guide, for a typical 10m x 8m room with a 3m ceiling, four to six ceiling loudspeakers on a 70V line, powered by an SSOUNDS A series networked amplifier with DSP and Dante, will deliver uniform coverage. Beamforming microphones should be positioned to cover the table area, and the DSP should be configured for echo cancellation and noise reduction. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modelling to predict coverage and optimise the design before installation.

SSOUNDS designs and installs conference room audio systems across Nottingham, from the city centre to the surrounding business parks. Our UK base supports projects throughout the region, ensuring specification, commissioning, and aftercare are handled by our own team.
