What is the best speaker for a hotel in Addis Ababa?

A hotel in Addis Ababa requires a sound system that delivers consistent, high-quality audio across multiple zones: lobby, restaurant, bar, ballroom, spa and conference rooms. Each zone has distinct acoustic and operational needs, from discreet background music to high-SPL speech reinforcement. The ideal solution combines ceiling loudspeakers for even coverage in low ceilings, column loudspeakers for reverberant or design-sensitive spaces, and point-source boxes for the ballroom where higher SPL and pattern control are essential. All zones should be networked on a single platform for paging, background music and emergency announcements.

SSOUNDS offers a comprehensive install range to meet these demands. The CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers provide wide, uniform coverage for lobbies, restaurants, bars, spas and conference rooms, with clean aesthetics and easy installation. For spaces with high ceilings or glass walls, the LC8.2 and LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers deliver focused vertical coverage and excellent intelligibility while blending into the architecture. In the ballroom, the P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers (T models for 70/100 V line) or M series point-source boxes and subwoofers deliver the SPL and clarity needed for events, presentations and performances. The A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante tie everything together, allowing zone control, paging and music routing from a single interface.

Selection and sizing depend on room dimensions, ceiling height, reverberation time and target SPL. For background music in a lobby, ceiling loudspeakers spaced to achieve overlap at listener height are ideal. In a ballroom, a distributed ceiling system may suffice for speech, but for music and events, a left-right point-source or line array approach with subwoofers provides better impact and coverage. Conference rooms benefit from ceiling or column loudspeakers with speech-optimised DSP presets. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modelling to predict coverage and intelligibility, ensuring each zone meets its performance criteria before installation. All systems are designed for reliability and ease of use by hotel staff.

SSOUNDS designs and installs across Addis Ababa, with support from our offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Nigeria and Ghana. We work with hotel technical directors, consultants and integrators to specify the right system for each property, from single-zone upgrades to full networked solutions. Our team provides commissioning and training to ensure the system operates seamlessly from day one.
