What is the best speaker for an office in Cotonou?

Office audio in Cotonou requires a system that balances background music, paging, and sound masking without overwhelming the space. Ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line are ideal because they provide wide, even coverage and allow simple zone control. SSOUNDS offers the CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers, which are designed for discreet installation and consistent performance. For spaces with high ceilings or where ceiling mounting is not possible, the LC8.2 and LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers deliver focused coverage with minimal visual impact.

Selecting the right loudspeaker depends on room size, ceiling height, and acoustic conditions. In open plan offices, ceiling loudspeakers should be spaced to achieve overlapping coverage at listener height, typically every 4 to 6 metres. Meeting rooms benefit from dedicated zones with independent volume control. For larger areas or where higher SPL is needed, the P4, P5, P6T, P10T, and P12T install loudspeakers (T models for 70/100 V line) offer flexible mounting options. The M series point-source boxes and subwoofers can be added for spaces requiring fuller range music.

Powering and controlling the system is critical. SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante provide the processing, zone routing, and networked audio distribution needed for paging and music. They allow integrators to set up multiple zones, apply equalisation and delay, and integrate with existing building systems. For sound masking, the system should generate a gentle, broadband noise that raises the ambient noise floor, reducing speech intelligibility from nearby conversations. This is achieved through careful tuning of the DSP and loudspeaker selection.

SSOUNDS designs and installs across Cotonou, leveraging our engineering expertise in acoustic modeling and system optimisation. We work with system integrators, consultants, and facility managers to specify the right combination of loudspeakers, amplifiers, and control for each office environment. Whether you need a simple background music and paging system or a fully networked solution with sound masking, SSOUNDS can provide a tailored design that meets your requirements.
