Can solar power run a live event?

Solar power is increasingly viable for live events, especially outdoor festivals and smaller gatherings. A typical live sound system draws significant power—line arrays, subwoofers, amplifiers, and lighting can consume tens of kilowatts. To run entirely on solar, you need a robust photovoltaic array, high-capacity battery storage, and an inverter to handle peak loads. For example, a medium-sized event with a 10 kW PA system might require about 40–50 solar panels (300W each) and a battery bank of 50–100 kWh, depending on sun hours and backup needs.
