What is the best speaker for a boardroom in Abuja?

A boardroom demands intelligibility, even coverage and visual discretion. The priority is speech and presentation audio for video conferencing, not high SPL music. Ceiling loudspeakers like the SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 suit low ceilings and distributed coverage, while slim column loudspeakers such as the LC8.2 and LC16.2 work well where walls are available and you need controlled vertical dispersion to keep sound off the table and on the listeners. For larger boardrooms or rooms with difficult acoustics, SSOUNDS P series install loudspeakers (P4, P5, P6T, P10T, P12T) provide point-source coverage with optional 70/100 V line operation for long cable runs. M series point-source boxes and subwoofers can be added where fuller-range playback is required.

Selection starts with room dimensions, ceiling height, seating layout and the speech intelligibility target. In a typical boardroom, four to eight ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line, or two to four column loudspeakers, will cover the seats evenly. The SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante handle routing, EQ and delay, and integrate directly with video conferencing codecs. Hidden control via a touch panel or control system keeps the technology out of sight.

SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modelling and coverage prediction to optimise loudspeaker placement before installation. This ensures every seat receives consistent speech clarity and that the system meets the project's intelligibility criteria. The same process helps specify the correct amplifier channels and DSP presets.

SSOUNDS designs and installs boardroom audio systems across Abuja, with support from our offices in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, Ghana and West Africa. To specify the right system for your boardroom, contact SSOUNDS for a consultation and quote.
