What is the best speaker for an office in Cardiff?

Offices need clear speech for paging, even background music, and often sound masking to reduce distraction. In open plan areas, ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line are ideal because they distribute sound evenly and can be tapped for different power levels. SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers are designed for this, with wide coverage and a discreet profile. For meeting rooms, where speech intelligibility is critical, slim column loudspeakers such as the SSOUNDS LC8.2 or LC16.2 provide focused audio that keeps sound in the room and reduces spill into adjacent spaces.

For larger offices or spaces with high ceilings, SSOUNDS P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers offer higher output and can be used on a 70/100 V line (T models). The M series point-source boxes and subwoofers are available for areas needing more music reinforcement, such as reception or staff break areas. All these loudspeakers integrate with SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers, which include DSP and Dante for flexible zone control, paging, and sound masking. This allows different zones (open plan, meeting rooms, corridors) to have independent volume and EQ settings.

When selecting speakers, consider the ceiling height, room size, and ambient noise level. For background music and paging in a typical office, ceiling loudspeakers spaced evenly will provide consistent coverage. In rooms with hard surfaces, column loudspeakers can improve intelligibility by directing sound at the listeners. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modeling to predict coverage and optimize speaker placement, ensuring every area meets the required SPL and intelligibility. We also provide commissioning and support to ensure the system performs as specified.

SSOUNDS designs and installs across Cardiff, with support from our UK base. We work with system integrators, consultants, and facility managers to deliver tailored audio solutions for offices. Whether you need a simple paging system or a full networked audio solution with sound masking, we can specify the right combination of SSOUNDS products.
