What is the best speaker for an office in Jakarta?

Office audio in Jakarta requires a system that covers open plan floors evenly, provides intelligible paging, and supports sound masking to reduce distraction. Ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line are ideal because they allow many units to be run on a single amplifier channel with simple tapping for level control. SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers are designed for this purpose, offering wide dispersion and consistent coverage. For spaces with high ceilings or where ceiling installation is not possible, SSOUNDS LC8.2 and LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers provide controlled vertical coverage and can be wall mounted.

Selection depends on ceiling height, room size and acoustic conditions. In open plan areas, aim for ceiling loudspeakers spaced to achieve overlapping coverage at ear level, typically every 4 to 6 metres for a 3 to 4 metre ceiling. Meeting rooms benefit from dedicated zones with local level control. SSOUNDS P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers offer additional options where higher SPL or directional coverage is needed, with T models running on 70/100 V lines. For larger spaces or where low frequency reinforcement is required, SSOUNDS M series point-source boxes and subwoofers can be added.

The backbone of the system is the amplification and processing. SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante provide zone control, equalisation, delay and routing, all managed over a network. This allows different areas (open plan, meeting rooms, reception) to have independent sources and volume levels. Sound masking is achieved by playing a low level, broadband noise through the ceiling loudspeakers, tuned to the office's acoustic profile. SSOUNDS designs and installs across Jakarta, with support from our offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Nigeria, Ghana and West Africa.
