SSOUNDS LC70
Two-way column with 16 × 1″ high-frequency drivers over 4 × 5.5″, 131 dB peak, pairs with the LC70B bass column.
In a large worship space or auditorium a column has to deliver music as well as the spoken word, and it has to do it from a position that keeps the room's architecture intact. The LC70 places sixteen 1″ high-frequency drivers in a continuous line beside four 5.5″ cone drivers, so the top of the voice band comes from a long, narrow source that holds 30° vertically across a 135° horizontal. Sensitivity is 100 dB and peak output 131 dB. It pairs with the LC70B bass column for full-range programme in houses of worship, auditoria and conference halls.
Part of the LC System
Two-way, sixteen 1″ drivers over four 5.5″, 131 dB peak. Pairs with the LC70B bass column.
LC stands for Line Column. Drivers stacked in a vertical line that radiates as one line source, so the vertical pattern is set by the length of the column: energy lands on the listeners and stays off the reverberant ceilings and walls around them. The outdoor W models carry the same principle in IP66 die-cast aluminium, and the D models carry their own amplifier and take Dante audio and PoE power on one network cable.

Measurement conditions
- Maximum SPL is the peak level at 1 m, driven with pink noise at crest factor 4 to the clipping point of the recommended amplifier, with the SSOUNDS system preset applied. Full-range enclosures are specified under free-field conditions; figures marked half-space are specified over a reflecting plane, the condition subwoofers are deployed in, which adds approximately 6 dB.
- Frequency response is specified on axis at 1 m in a free field. The tolerance the figure is referenced to is stated alongside it; where no tolerance is given, the figure is the −6 dB bandwidth.
- Sensitivity is specified at 1 W into the nominal impedance at 1 m on axis, averaged across the pass band of the enclosure.
- Coverage angles are nominal −6 dB values averaged across the pass band. Per-octave directivity data is available from SSOUNDS system design support for prediction and modelling.
- Power handling is rated to AES2 using pink noise with a 6 dB crest factor over a two-hour period. Programme power is twice the AES rating; peak power is four times.
- Nominal impedance is the manufacturer's rating for amplifier load calculation; minimum impedance across the operating band may be lower.
- Net weight excludes packaging, flight case, accessories and optional rigging hardware.
- Dimensions are stated in millimetres and exclude protruding rigging hardware, handles and connector panels unless noted.
- All figures are typical values for production units specified under the conditions above. Individual units may vary within published tolerances.
