What is the best speaker for a conference room in Johannesburg?
Quick answer
For a conference room in Johannesburg, the best speaker choice depends on room size and ceiling height, but SSOUNDS CL6 or CL8 ceiling loudspeakers with DSP and beamforming microphones are ideal for speech intelligibility and video calls. For larger spaces, LC8.2 or LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers provide even coverage.
Conference rooms demand clear speech from both table talk and video calls. Ceiling loudspeakers like the SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 offer discreet, even coverage and integrate with DSP for echo cancellation. In rooms with high ceilings or where ceiling installation is impractical, slim column loudspeakers such as the LC8.2 or LC16.2 mount on walls and deliver focused audio to the seating area.
For larger conference rooms or divisible spaces, SSOUNDS P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers provide higher SPL and can run on 70/100 V lines for long cable runs. The M series point-source boxes and subwoofers add full-range reinforcement when presentations include multimedia. All models pair with SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante for seamless integration with beamforming microphones and one-touch control systems.
Selection depends on room dimensions, ceiling height, seating layout and acoustic treatment. As a rule, ceiling loudspeakers suit rooms with ceilings below 3.5 metres and even coverage requirements. Column loudspeakers work well in reverberant spaces or where walls are available. For rooms larger than 100 square metres or with high ceilings, point-source or line array modules may be needed. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modelling to predict coverage and optimise presets before installation.
