What is the best speaker for a hotel in Bogotá?

A hotel sound system is not one speaker but a networked collection of zones. In Bogotá, hotels typically need separate control for lobby, restaurant, bar, ballroom, spa and conference rooms. The SSOUNDS install range covers this: CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers for discreet background music and paging in lobbies, restaurants, spas and corridors; LC8.2 and LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers for conference rooms and bars where speech intelligibility and even coverage matter; and P4, P5, P6T, P10T and P12T install loudspeakers for larger spaces. The T models run on a 70/100 V line for long cable runs and multiple speakers per channel, ideal for distributed systems.

For the ballroom, a portable or installed PA is required. SSOUNDS M series point-source boxes and subwoofers provide the output and pattern control for speech and music, while SSOUNDS line array systems can be specified for larger ballrooms or divisible rooms. A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante handle routing, zoning and processing from a single interface, allowing paging and background music to share the same infrastructure.

Selection and sizing start with the room. Measure the volume, the reverberation time and the required SPL and intelligibility. For ceiling speakers, spacing depends on ceiling height and coverage angle; for columns, mounting height and throw distance determine the model. For the ballroom, model the room in prediction software to choose between point-source and line array. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modeling and machine-learning-tuned DSP presets to optimise each system before it ships.

SSOUNDS designs and installs across Bogotá. We ship and support internationally from our bases in the United Kingdom, United States, Nigeria and Ghana. For a hotel project in Colombia, contact us to discuss your territory and request a quote based on your venue size, zone count and coverage targets.
