The LC4.3D is the four-driver LC column with the amplifier and processing built in and the network doing the rest. Dante audio, Power over Ethernet and control arrive on a single Cat cable from a PoE switch, so the column needs no amplifier rack, no loudspeaker cable and no mains outlet at the wall. The line of four 3″ full-range drivers holds the vertical pattern to 30° while the horizontal stays 100° wide, and the built-in DSP carries EQ, gain, a limiter and mute, set and monitored with software that also reports each column's status and temperature. We specify it for meeting rooms, side chapels, small prayer rooms and classrooms where the building already runs a network. Alongside Dante it is AES67-2018 compliant, and its control runs over AES70.

Part of the LC System

Four 3″ drivers, 100° × 30°: small rooms on the building network, with no amplifier rack.

LC stands for Line Column. Drivers stacked in a vertical line that radiates as one line source, so the vertical pattern is set by the length of the column: energy lands on the listeners and stays off the reverberant ceilings and walls around them. The outdoor W models carry the same principle in IP66 die-cast aluminium, and the D models carry their own amplifier and take Dante audio and PoE power on one network cable.

Measurement conditions

  1. Maximum SPL is the peak level at 1 m, driven with pink noise at crest factor 4 to the clipping point of the recommended amplifier, with the SSOUNDS system preset applied. Full-range enclosures are specified under free-field conditions; figures marked half-space are specified over a reflecting plane, the condition subwoofers are deployed in, which adds approximately 6 dB.
  2. Frequency response is specified on axis at 1 m in a free field. The tolerance the figure is referenced to is stated alongside it; where no tolerance is given, the figure is the −6 dB bandwidth.
  3. Coverage angles are nominal −6 dB values averaged across the pass band. Per-octave directivity data is available from SSOUNDS system design support for prediction and modelling.
  4. Net weight excludes packaging, flight case, accessories and optional rigging hardware.
  5. Dimensions are stated in millimetres and exclude protruding rigging hardware, handles and connector panels unless noted.
  6. All figures are typical values for production units specified under the conditions above. Individual units may vary within published tolerances.

Directivity computed by the SSOUNDS system prediction engine from this product's driver complement, the same dataset the printed data sheet uses. 1/24-octave band-power resolution; values are dB relative to on-axis.
