What is the best speaker for a school in Indiana?
Quick answer
For a school in Indiana, the best speaker depends on the space: ceiling loudspeakers for corridors and paging, columns for assembly halls, and point-source boxes for sports halls. SSOUNDS install range includes P4, P5, P6T, P10T, P12T, LC8.2, LC16.2, CL6, CL8, M series, and A series amplifiers with DSP and Dante.
Schools need speech clarity for young listeners, even coverage, and simple control. In classrooms and corridors, ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line are ideal for paging and background music. SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers provide consistent coverage and tamper-resistant mounting. For assembly halls, slim column loudspeakers like the LC8.2 and LC16.2 deliver focused audio that reaches the back rows without excessive reverberation. Sports halls require higher SPL and durability: SSOUNDS M series point-source boxes and subwoofers handle the dynamics of physical education and events.
Selection and sizing depend on room volume, ceiling height, and acoustic treatment. For a typical classroom, two to four ceiling loudspeakers on a 70/100 V line suffice. Assembly halls may need a column per side plus delays. Sports halls often use point-source boxes with subwoofers for music and announcements. SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with DSP and Dante simplify zoning and control, with wall controllers for staff. All T models (P6T, P10T, P12T) run on 70/100 V lines for long cable runs.
