SSOUNDS P12T
Two-way 12″ install point source in a portrait birch cabinet, yoke mounted, on a 70/100 V line or at 8 Ω.
The P12T is a 12″ two-way point source for installed sound: a 12″ low-frequency driver with a 2.6″ voice coil and a 1″ high-frequency driver in a portrait birch plywood cabinet, covering 90° by 60° from 50 Hz to 18 kHz with 122 dB maximum SPL. It takes 250 W AES and runs either on a 70/100 V distributed line or at 8 Ω from an amplifier channel, so the same cabinet suits a tapped voice and music system or a direct feed. The yoke bracket sets the angle the room needs, on a wall or under a soffit. The cabinet is scratch-painted birch behind a steel grille with foam, which makes it an indoor box, and we do not offer it for weather-exposed positions. We specify it for churches and mosques, school and university halls, sports halls, conference centres and large retail, where a 6.5″ or 10″ wall box runs out of output before it runs out of coverage.
P stands for Point Source. One cabinet as the whole source rather than a coupled array: coverage is set by the cabinet's own horn, waveguide or driver layout, and is the same whether one is deployed or several. A T marks a model that also runs on a 70/100 V line.

Physical
Measurement conditions
- Maximum SPL is the peak level at 1 m, driven with pink noise at crest factor 4 to the clipping point of the recommended amplifier, with the SSOUNDS system preset applied. Full-range enclosures are specified under free-field conditions; figures marked half-space are specified over a reflecting plane, the condition subwoofers are deployed in, which adds approximately 6 dB.
- Frequency response is specified on axis at 1 m in a free field. The tolerance the figure is referenced to is stated alongside it; where no tolerance is given, the figure is the −6 dB bandwidth.
- Sensitivity is specified at 1 W into the nominal impedance at 1 m on axis, averaged across the pass band of the enclosure.
- Coverage angles are nominal −6 dB values averaged across the pass band. Per-octave directivity data is available from SSOUNDS system design support for prediction and modelling.
- Power handling is rated to AES2 using pink noise with a 6 dB crest factor over a two-hour period. Programme power is twice the AES rating; peak power is four times.
- Recommended amplifier power is the amplifier output SSOUNDS specifies for this enclosure, driven with the SSOUNDS system preset. It guides amplifier selection and is not an AES power-handling rating for the transducers.
- Nominal impedance is the manufacturer's rating for amplifier load calculation; minimum impedance across the operating band may be lower.
- Net weight excludes packaging, flight case, accessories and optional rigging hardware.
- Dimensions are stated in millimetres and exclude protruding rigging hardware, handles and connector panels unless noted.
- All figures are typical values for production units specified under the conditions above. Individual units may vary within published tolerances.
