For field use, we offer battery-powered portable PA systems with solar charging capability. These units provide 24+ hours of continuous operation at high output, making them ideal for remote outposts or temporary command posts. The batteries are hot-swappable and managed by intelligent power distribution that prioritises critical communications.

Parade grounds, airfields, and large base perimeters require sound projection over hundreds of metres. SSOUNDS long-throw horn arrays use constant-directivity waveguides that maintain pattern control down to low frequencies. This ensures uniform coverage without hot spots or dead zones, even in windy conditions.

Our giant-voice systems combine multiple horn-loaded drivers with high-efficiency compression drivers, achieving SPLs of over 145 dB at 1 metre. These systems can be flown from towers or mounted on mobile trailers, covering areas up to 1 km in length. The horns are designed with weather-resistant diaphragms and neodymium magnets for weight reduction without sacrificing output.

Military PA systems must remain operational even if mains power fails. SSOUNDS integrates redundant power supplies with automatic failover, supporting both AC mains and 24V DC battery banks. Our amplifiers feature N+1 redundancy, so if one module fails, the system continues at reduced power without interruption.

For critical mass notification, we design systems with dual-redundant DSP engines and multiple audio input paths (analogue, Dante, AES67). This allows seamless switching between local microphone announcements, pre-recorded alerts, and remote command centre broadcasts. All components are hot-swappable for rapid field repair.

Military bases require PA systems that double as emergency mass notification systems (MNS). SSOUNDS systems comply with international standards like EN 54-24 for voice alarm systems, providing clear evacuation instructions and coded alerts. Our DSP includes pre-configured tones and voice messages that can be triggered remotely or locally.

Integration with base-wide security systems is seamless. SSOUNDS PA can receive alerts from fire alarms, chemical detection sensors, or command consoles, automatically overriding normal programming to broadcast emergency messages. The systems support multiple zones, allowing targeted alerts to specific areas while maintaining normal operations elsewhere.
