What is the best speaker for a boardroom in New York City?

A boardroom demands speech clarity, even coverage, and minimal visual intrusion. The right choice depends on ceiling height, room shape, and whether the space has a finished ceiling or solid walls. For flush-mount ceilings, SSOUNDS CL6 and CL8 ceiling loudspeakers provide wide, smooth coverage with a discreet profile. Where ceiling mounting is not possible, the LC8.2 or LC16.2 slim column loudspeakers offer controlled vertical dispersion and can be wall-mounted, keeping sound focused on the table and away from reflective surfaces.

For larger boardrooms or spaces with challenging acoustics, SSOUNDS P4, P5, P6T, P10T, and P12T install loudspeakers deliver higher SPL and pattern control. The T models operate on a 70/100 V line, which simplifies wiring over long distances and allows multiple speakers on a single amplifier channel. In rooms requiring additional low-frequency support for presentations, SSOUNDS M series point-source boxes and subwoofers can be added, though for speech-only boardrooms, full-range ceiling or column models are often sufficient.

Sizing is critical: too few speakers create uneven coverage, while too many can cause excessive reverberation. SSOUNDS engineers use AI-assisted acoustic modeling to predict coverage and intelligibility before installation, ensuring every seat receives consistent speech levels. The system is driven by SSOUNDS A series networked amplifiers with onboard DSP and Dante, enabling seamless integration with video conferencing and hidden control systems. This approach delivers premium speech and presentation audio without visual clutter.

SSOUNDS designs and installs boardroom audio systems across New York City. From initial site survey to commissioning, our team ensures the system meets the specific needs of the space, with support from our US operations. For projects outside our direct service areas, we ship and support internationally from our bases in the United Kingdom, United States, Nigeria, and Ghana.
