The Experience Lagos is Africa's largest annual gospel concert, held at Tafawa Balewa Square and broadcast globally. SSOUNDS was engaged to provide additional audio infrastructure and on-site system engineering support for the event.
With 200,000+ attendees across the 12-hour concert, the system demands are extraordinary: even coverage across an open square with no walls, extreme dynamic range (quiet congregational moments to stadium-level live bands), and a broadcast-quality feed to multiple production trucks.
SSUNDS deployed a main hang plus four delay towers at 60m, 90m, 120m and 150m from the stage — all time-aligned and level-matched using Smaart in real time. The subwoofer array was configured in a cardioid end-fire setup to push maximum impact toward the crowd and protect the stage environment.
The event ran from 7pm to 7am, 12 hours continuous, zero technical downtime.
