Sound system installation in Glasgow

Glasgow is Scotland's largest city and its events capital, with the Scottish Event Campus on the Clyde, major universities and the largest mosque in Scotland.

SSOUNDS is a loudspeaker manufacturer registered in England and Wales. We design, supply, install and commission sound systems for churches, mosques, conference rooms, hospitality and education in Glasgow, using loudspeakers and amplification from our own range.

Installed sound for Glasgow's venues

Every room is a different acoustic problem. These four make up most of the installed sound market in Glasgow.

Churches, mosques and places of worship

Glasgow Central Mosque, on the south bank of the Clyde, is the largest in Scotland; the city's Church of Scotland parishes, Catholic churches and growing independent congregations meet in stone churches with long reverberation, where a column keeps the words clear.

Conference rooms and corporate AV

Conference work centres on the SEC, and the offices of the city centre and the International Financial Services District need meeting and training rooms with clear speech at every seat.

Hotels, bars and restaurants

Merchant City, the West End and Finnieston carry the bars, restaurants and venues, each wanting sound that is even across the room.

Universities, colleges and schools

The University of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University specify lecture theatre sound, usually by tender.

How an installation works

  1. Step 1

    Site survey

We look at the room: its size and shape, what the walls and ceiling are made of, where people sit, and what the system has to do.

  2. Step 2

    Design and written quote

We model the coverage, choose the loudspeakers, amplification and microphones the room needs, and send a written quote in pounds sterling.

  3. Step 3

    Supply and installation

The loudspeakers and amplification come from our own range, shipped from our UK headquarters, then mounted, cabled and rigged.

  4. Step 4

    Commissioning and handover

The system is tuned in the room, your team is trained to run it, and you receive the as-built documentation.

We do not publish installation prices. A system is priced once the room has been seen, because the room decides how many loudspeakers it needs and where they go. You receive a written quote in pounds sterling, with no obligation.

Loudspeakers we install

Ceiling speakers for meeting rooms and hospitality, line columns for reverberant churches, mosques and halls, and compact point sources where music matters. All quoted, none listed.

A UK loudspeaker manufacturer

SSOUNDS designs and builds its own loudspeakers, amplifiers and processing, and publishes the data a consultant needs to specify them. There is no SSOUNDS office in Glasgow: projects here are designed and supplied from our UK headquarters in Mildenhall, and our engineers come to site for the survey and for commissioning.
