Sound system installation in London

London is the UK's largest market for installed sound: conference and exhibition halls, corporate headquarters across the City and Canary Wharf, hotels and restaurants in the West End, universities, and some of the largest congregations in the country.

SSOUNDS is a loudspeaker manufacturer registered in England and Wales. We design, supply, install and commission sound systems for churches, mosques, conference rooms, hospitality and education in London, using loudspeakers and amplification from our own range.

Installed sound for London's venues

Every room is a different acoustic problem. These four make up most of the installed sound market in London.

Churches, mosques and places of worship

London has the UK's biggest Pentecostal and African-led churches, many meeting in converted warehouses, cinemas and industrial units in south and east London: hard rooms that defeat a pair of speakers on poles. Its mosques range from large purpose-built halls such as the East London Mosque in Whitechapel to converted terraces, and its cathedrals and parish churches carry the long reverberation that only a column or a carefully aimed line source can work with.

Conference rooms and corporate AV

Boardrooms, town-hall spaces and conference suites in the City, Canary Wharf and King's Cross need speech that is intelligible at every seat, from a ceiling speaker layout or a discreet column, with microphones chosen for the way the room is actually used. Exhibition and event halls such as ExCeL London set the scale at the other end.

Hotels, bars and restaurants

Hotels, bars and restaurants from the West End to Shoreditch want background music that stays even across the room, announcements that carry, and a system the staff can run without an engineer.

Universities, colleges and schools

London's universities, colleges and schools specify lecture theatre, assembly hall and sports hall sound for speech first, very often through a formal tender with a written specification.

How an installation works

  1. Step 1

    Site survey

We look at the room: its size and shape, what the walls and ceiling are made of, where people sit, and what the system has to do.

  2. Step 2

    Design and written quote

We model the coverage, choose the loudspeakers, amplification and microphones the room needs, and send a written quote in pounds sterling.

  3. Step 3

    Supply and installation

The loudspeakers and amplification come from our own range, shipped from our UK headquarters, then mounted, cabled and rigged.

  4. Step 4

    Commissioning and handover

The system is tuned in the room, your team is trained to run it, and you receive the as-built documentation.

We do not publish installation prices. A system is priced once the room has been seen, because the room decides how many loudspeakers it needs and where they go. You receive a written quote in pounds sterling, with no obligation.

Loudspeakers we install

Ceiling speakers for meeting rooms and hospitality, line columns for reverberant churches, mosques and halls, and compact point sources where music matters. All quoted, none listed.

A UK loudspeaker manufacturer

SSOUNDS designs and builds its own loudspeakers, amplifiers and processing, and publishes the data a consultant needs to specify them. There is no SSOUNDS office in London: projects here are designed and supplied from our UK headquarters in Mildenhall, and our engineers come to site for the survey and for commissioning.
